Killarney Hotels Newsletter

June 2008

One of the most exciting thing happening at the lake hotel in recent years in the reintroduction of the White Tailed Sea Eagle, It has been nearly 100 years since their extinction. Our great vista of the National park, the Eagles Nest, lakes and Mountains should offer us regular views of this great creature. In the coming Months we will have another 20 White Tailed Sea Eagles released in Killarney.

We have added some more improvements to the Hotel with the conversion of the Lough Lein Room to a residents lounge. This will offer guests an alternative place to relax, read a book or have gatherings with friends. Our Restaurant is just about finished, we have added mor lake view tables in a new extension, allowing us a more relaxed breakfast on busy mornings.

Our new walking pathway around the hotel has proved to be very popular with our guests. The Native Killarney Red Deer continue to be a showcase and as they thrive and grow in numbers increase the likely hood of our customers viewing them. Sunrise and Sunset is the ideal time to view these magnificent mammals. They are a little shy in the summer months but can still be seen daily !

We have extended our facilities in our Muckross Fitness Centre.

Hot recommendations for 2008 are the Ring of Kerry adding Valentia Island and the Skellig Ring on as an extra treat.

Any trip to Kerry should take in a day trip from The Lake Hotel to the Magnificent Dingle Peninsula.
