Stag on High Ground

The Lake is backing off
!!
The Clean-up will begin

This level is the highest we had previously seen ever
in the worst rainfall and weather.
In the height of this flood it was up to the red on the
sign

The Huggard
Family would like to thank all our Employees and Friends
who helped us save our Hotel from serious damage which
would have occurred if we did not take quick action to
prevent this. We would also like to thank those who joined
the General Manager at 3am on Friday morning securing
the critical areas with sandbags as the Lake started to
rise at a rapid rate. Our main damage is in Staff Accommodation,
Boiler houses, Pump rooms, Stores & Laundry which
lie lower than the hotel. The flood has prevented us from
re-opening before our closure date of December 7th this
year.
And a special Thanks to those Guests
who we had to relocate between the 21st of November and
the 7th of December, we hope to see you all at the Lake
in the near future and hope you enjoyed your stay in Killarney.
Best Regards, Niall Huggard General
Manager

Looking forward to opening on the
14th of January in the New Year !
